Happy Birthday to Tia
Tia's turned 2 on 22nd July, while we were down at Momentum ( a young adults conference Jo was speaking at). But we still managed to find ways to celebrate!
Tia may not have anticipated her birthday - but once we told her that it was her special day, she soon got into the idea, walking around saying "Birfday! Tia!". When we told her that she was two, her response was
"Free... Four... Five... Seven..Nine..."

The day began at 5 (!) ish opening pressies (We bought Tia a tricycle which is waiting for her back home) and bouncing on the bed.

Then we spend most of the day doing things that Tia loved and eating food. I (Jo) felt like I crossed into a new phase of family life when we went to MacDonald's and got Tia a Happy Meal. You could see that she felt so grown up as we sat there together on little chairs.

She was estatic when she got given a Shrek donkey. Zoe probably had no clue what was going on, but that didn't stop her from erupting into Zoe-esque giggles.

The weather was gorgeous later that afternoon, so we went to the park next to our B&B. There was a brass band, little ponds with ducks, a playground and lots of lots of space to run and play.
Not surprisingly.. the girls slept well that night. And there were more surprises the next day.
