We made it!

What a week!
The Saxtons have finally made it to St.Paul, MN for the final stages of Chris' ordination journey. Chris and Tim (Chris' dad) did the roadtrip thing, and made it up in 3 days. They got to work on getting the appartment ready for the Saxton girls.
And it was quite a week for the Saxton girls. Tia and Zoe wondered where their daddy was, but did very well in his absence. Jo had the task of keeping the girls sane and doing the last few things around the house before heading North. Thankfully lots of Joy friends stepped in to make the week work, and to get the job done.
Then Friday morning, 6.55 am happened.
Zoe had just eaten but the food didn't want to stay down so it decided to come right back up. Less than 30 seconds later, Tia, who has been whining since she woke up says "Mommy" and then - projectile vomit. And it goes everywhere, like on Tia, on Zoe, on me (Jo), the carpet, the couch, the whole thing.
So we had to get to work - again! Sally and Libby came over to do a rescue operation and keep my sanity back from the edge. Tia and Zoe watched Barney. AGAIN.
Later Mark and Sue Abram took us to the airport. We were on our way.
Just as we are about to board the plane, Zoe vomits. And Tia has a HUGE meltdown. This is not a good sign. My girls who frankly are normally pretty amazing on planes (even 11 hour flights to the UK) are not being so amazing right now!
Tia has meltdown number two - think HUGER than HUGE- on the plane because I make her wear a seatbelt. Tears, screams, kicks, the whole nine yards. Then Zoe vomits again, well its actually only a bit of spit up, but it was on the woman sitting next to me...
I praised God out loud when Tia fell asleep quite suddenly. In fact I suspect I could have led the whole cabin in a time of spontaneous praise, but no one wanted Tia to wake up just yet.
She slept for an hour and a half. Beautiful.
When she woke up she was considerably less cranky. Until we were landing and she had to wear a belt again. But even so she recovered, and started talking to other passengers and playing with them.
FINALLY we were off the plane and walking through the terminal. We were nearly there. Zoe was sucking on a teddy(well actually its a frog, but you understand) and Tia was strolling through the airport. She turned to me and smiled.
"Mommy?"
"Yes Tia?"
"I like planes. That was FUN!"
I stopped and looked at Tia in disbelief. I couldn't help but utter the words
"For WHO Tia?"
"Oh Mom, planes! FUN!"
Who knew that in that major tantrum session, Tia was ACTUALLY having the time of her life?
Who knew?
