Easter Day

Easter was great! The Sunday services were great and our Gazza did a fab job with his choirs, band and brass section. Then it seemed that lots of people came to our house. First of all it was the young adult crowd, who came for an Easter curry! Yes I know curries have nothing to do with Easter (but then nor do a lot fo things!), but the boys wanted one so Chicken Tikka Masala ( with a little help from Pataks) it is! Then we all headed up to our local community pool and spa.
Fabulous!
As if that were not enough, another crowd of people turned up at the house for our Easter Pot Luck dinner. The young adult posse wisely stuck around and got another meal in the bargain. Later on Chris set up the projector outside and the children watched Madagascar, whilst we adults played a game of Articulate inside. It was the Brits vs. The Americans. And we won, but then it was an English version of the game, so perhaps there was something of an advatage on our side when needing to describe things like Corronation Street or Neil Kinnock.
So after the film finished, Chris got out the X box and all the guys played Fifa 2006 in the back yard on the big screen. Eventually the children got tired and wanted to go to sleep, but as our friends left the wonderful Mr Andy Swan arrived to say hi. I knew what this meant. Chris and Andy enjoyed an X box fest for a long while!
Our dishwasher decided to give up the ghost on today of all days, but with Mr Swan helping us do the washing up late at night, it was just like being back in Upperthorpe. Its just that the swimming pool and the weather are a little different.
