saxtons place: All about ZOE

Here I am playing one of my favorite things...well when Mommy stops taking pictures!

Zoe is 10 months old (on Wednesday). When Zoe was born she appeared to be mellower than Tia, and we began to think that she might be an introverted member of the family. How wrong were we? Zoe is bold and loud! She is desperate to communicate and is trying out a few words. It sounds like Mom is her first, followed by a growl. Make of that what you will. She has also worked out how to wave and hi-5, which seems to be essential in our family.

Zoe is a girl who knows what she wants. Not long after arriving her she decided she'd had a enough of baby food, so simply refused to partake. And fairplay to her, the stuff you find in a jar of "turkey dinner" doesn't taste like turkey, and is not a satisfying dinner. So now she eats the same as the rest of us, and is much happier for it, and we don't get showered in regurgitated baby food.

She's also very active. Like most babies her age she is into absolutely everything. She crawls at great speed and is practising the whole standing up thing. She'll be walking before we know it...

Hi!

Zoe loves the park, she squeals with delight on the swings and happily crawls around in the grass putting whatever she can get away with into her mouth. She and Tia love hanging out together; they laugh together, scream together, fight, and make up. There'll never be a dull moment when the Saxton sisters are about.
