Independence Day

Yesterday was Independence Day, where we celebrated - well we're not sure what exactly we celebrated to be honest! We know its about America's independence from the Brits and all that, but we still don't quite know what you do to celebrate. There are parades and things, and fireworks, but we settled for a barbeque with some Canadian friends across the road. And that was good fun!So we got Tia dressed up in the obligatory colours, and she even waved a flag (before attempting to chew it), but it wasn't that convinving. Time will tell how American she really is, or wants to be. Right now all it means she could play for four national football teams - England, Scotland, the US and Nigeria. And she'd much rather play with her toys and her lego bricks!
