Rewind - March - A White Easter!
Easter was a tad surreal with the copious amounts of snow that decided to join us for the special occasion. Some locals decided to brave the day as though it was Spring, and turned up to church in Easter type outfits (read: pretty and Spring like and NO insulation). But we are still tourists, so we sacrficied the Easter look for mere warmth.
Easter weekend involved the usual Easter egg hunts et al, but the cooler climes added a new dimension. We spent Easter Sunday with our good friends the Hagleys - Maribeth and Scott and their ickle ones Hannah and 'Belle. We headed to Wisconsin where Maribeth's parents have a lakeside home and joined in the party.
Hannah, 'Belle, Zoe and Tia do ANOTHER Easter egg hunt. But none of them are upset about it...
High speed sledding! We had no idea quite how fast this sled was going to go ( and it was headed to the lake)- and Maribeth and me narrowly avoided damaging our backs to stop the sled. And what did 'Belle, Hannah and Tia have to say? AGAIN! AGAIN!!
We had an amazing lunch and the kids had an Easter Egg hunt. But instead of an afternoon walk (or nap!) the kids were on the sledge (US read sled), and there was a game of broomball (i think) on the lake. All in all - a fantastic and memorable Easter Sunday.
